Dear Miras Community!

The entire country is going through hard times. Despite the complexity of the situation, we are trying to respond to the challenges of the time quickly and productively. The school has been able to adapt to working in these new conditions, organizationally we hope any issues involving distance learning have been resolved.
For us the most important issue is not to turn this time into a period of unbearable difficulties for our children and ourselves. Each of us should try to live with positive motivation, be patient and optimistic, and support our children and their creative ideas. The school strives to meet the challenges of this time and it relies on the unity and cooperation of all school community members: teachers, students and parents.
Since the transition to distance learning, teachers and all school staff have conducted enormous work on the preparation and implementation of the learning process within these new working conditions. A new lesson schedule has been prepared, consultations and additional classes have been developed, teachers and other school staff have been organized to work on-line using the multifunctional Microsoft TEAMS platform. A huge load of technical support, personal assistance and guidance the in usage of this platform fell on the shoulders of IT department, which now continues to work 24/7.
With the official status of Microsoft Showcase School, Miras School actively applies Microsoft educational resources in on-line education for its students from primary to secondary grades.
Transition to distance learning is not an easy process, especially for our primary school students. Invaluable help and support in setting up the learning process in Primary school is given to us by the parents, for which I would like to express special gratitude to them.
Special attention is paid to our high school student – Grade 11 and DP students. Classes in special subjects are delivered in small groups and the individual curricula of the students is preserved.
Despite the fact that Pre-School work has been temporarily suspended, Pre-School teachers of senior groups, while officially on labour leave, continue to maintain contact with families and sends materials to parents to organize educational and leisure activities for their children on a regular basis.
All school services continue to work and routine technical and preventive work is underway. Preparatory measures are being taken to complete the school year and prepare for the new school year.

The school is closed, but school life continues, and we look forward to meeting with our students. We are looking forward to a speedy return to the normal life of our school!

Sincerely yours,  Yelena Khamitova Head of school
